Our Story

Founded in 2019 by Tasandra Benn, a Guyanese-born entrepreneur and mother, Sunshine Roots began as a deeply personal journey. Inspired by early lessons in environmental care (and a childhood love for Captain Planet 🌍), Tasandra started handcrafting organic oils and butters during pregnancy to avoid the hidden chemicals in mainstream beauty products.

The positive feedback was undeniable — and Sunshine Roots was born.
